When you use Workspace-Lite, we collect:

Account information: Email address and PIN (stored securely)
Content you create: Notes, journal entries, tasks, projects, and any other data you input
Usage data: Basic analytics on how you interact with the app (pages visited, features used)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and maintain the Service
Authenticate your account and secure access
Improve and personalize your experience
Send service-related communications (optional — you can opt out)

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a cloud database (Turso). While we implement reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee 100% security. You are responsible for keeping your PIN confidential and for maintaining your own backups of important data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in these cases:

When required by law or to respond to legal process
To protect the rights, property, or safety of Workspace-Lite or others
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice)

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal cookies necessary for authentication (NextAuth session tokens). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data is removed from our active systems within a reasonable period. Note: Backups of deleted data may persist for a limited time before being fully purged.

7. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Keeping your PIN secure
Maintaining your own backups of important data
Ensuring your content complies with applicable laws

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
